HAIR FOR HOPE 2010

In year 2008 when I first saw the event "HAIR FOR HOPE" in Novena Square, I had wanted to volunteer as a shavee to support the children with cancer through this ev ent organized by Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) but I did not have enough courage to do so then.

Last year, it just so happen that when the event was held, I was outstation and there... I have another excuse that I am not able to do it because the timing was not right. This year, it was such a coincidence that my company is having the satellite event next week and I guess I have not much excuses now.

Well, what harm will it do me?!? At most, I will just get ‘A LOT’ more “STARRING” from some inconsiderate people . At least, I’m making a FOOL out of myself by doing it for a GOOD cause. Anyway, my hair can easily grow back, hopefully.... kekeke...

Some thinks I’m crazy to actually volunteer as a shavee. When I sent out email to my friends asking them to join me or to support by donations. ALL of them rather donate than to part with their lovely locks including the guys. Some of my gal-frens even asked me to stay away from their hair, they will not even part with a SINGLE strand of their hair. Hahaha. Well, I understand how important hair is to a woman. It’s one of their greatest beauty assets.

Therefore, I can imagine how the cancer patients feel... at least we got a choice to grow back our hair but these people got no choice. If you people out there have extra long locks and would like to donate your locks for a good purpose, you can refer to ‘LOCKS of LOVE’.

Well, I guess everyone have their own choice. Some of my friends have shown full support that they will donate on my behalf to the CCF. Thanx in advance!! ^=^

Do let me know if you wanna give me your support by donating to the CCF. Thanks!

“GOD BLESS EVERYONE ALL THE TIMES”

The Karate Kid

Just watched 'The Karate Kid' with my gym-mates and Piggy. Thumbs up! ^=^ Though it was not superb but we really enjoyed watching it. The kungfu moves and the humor in the movie was good... guess becoz Jacky Chan's in the movie. Hahaha. Will Smith's kid, Jaden Smith is really cute and talented. This remake of the movie gives a different feel from the original one in 1984. Wow... time really flies. It's been more than 20 years already....

I really like the song 'Never Say Never' by Justin Bieber featuring Jaden Smith.

Go check it out if you haven't watch it. ^=^

Back from my long break... ^=^

It's been 1 week since I'm back from my 2 weeks long break.... 10 days in China Trip and a few days in KL. Haven't got time to tidy up all the pictures yet. Will try to blog on my trip soon.
Here's just some preview... hahah... ^=^

After eating so much during the China trip without my usual gym routine, I grew sideways so much faster. The food is so much better compared to my previous trip to ChengDu. I guess the taste suits us better when it is nearer to Shanghai but the food there is still pretty oily and salty.

After the 1 week China tour, we extended our stay for another 2 days to go to the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Bought 2 days pass to go explore the EXPO but end up only 1 1/2 days due to bad management of the tour agency on the air ticket timing. Our evening flight had been changed to morning flight without giving us earlier notice.

It was pretty crazy at the EXPO. It's basically Q-ing and Q-ing and Q-ing... as well as Waiting...Waiting and some more Waiting just to get in the pavillions there. It took us 2 1/2 hours Q-ing and waiting time to get in the Japan pavillion. Some other popular ones like the Saudi Arabia pavillion have Q-ing time up till 9 hours. Even eating KFC also have to Q long long eh... check out the pix below.

Count it on luck... 10am flight ended up flying at around 530pm. We end up wandering at the Shanghai airport and I thought I could sleep in the flight as we reach the airport before 8am. We even witness some commotion at the airport due to the delay where some China people start scolding the MAS staff like mad but what can they do if the airplane was having some technical problems that need to be fixed.

Despite all the tiredness, I did enjoyed the trip with my parents, eating all the good food and enjoying all the beautiful sceneries. And last of all, get to see my lovely 'cutie pie' in KL when I came back from Shanghai. She's getting more and more fun to play with.... She used to call me 'Ta-ta'.... now upgraded to 'Chu-chu'... hopefully the next trip back, she can pronounce properly and call me 'Ku-ku'. This is how she looks like when she call me. From 'Big-big', I have become a 'Pig-pig'. Hahaha...

Supposingly I should be fully recharged after my long break but I'm like fully drained out of energy. Physically back in Lion City but heart still not back. Still having post-hols syndrome. Some more have been sick for the past few days... can't get back to my usual gym routine yet. So sad.... Tomorrow gonna skip my 7km Nike Breakfast run at ECP also... : (
All the bad bad virus... Shoo! Shoo! Go away quickly....

Amazing Race @^@

Supposed to be zZz-ing right now but decided not to sleep since I have to wake up around 5am and now is already 4am. Going to the airport in 2 hours time... Hopefully I don't pengsan in the aeroplane and can have a good zZz before touching down in China. Anyway, if pengsan also quite OK for me... better than having air sickness. Hahaha...

Reached KL past 1:30am just now. After the 5 hours bus ride, I had to unpack my stuff and repack them into another bag for my trip. Ate my supper at 2am++. After packing my stuff, there's not much time left to zZz. If I go ahead and zZz... I think I might not be able to wake up and will feel bit groggy and grouchy. Time for breakfast soon. Feel like a pig eating so much... ^@^

Well, I hope I will have a great trip in China and enjoy the Shanghai Expo. Anyway, I also can't wait to get back to KL to play with 'cutie pie' and meet some friends. ^=^

* gonna miss my gym routine so much for 2 weeks plus... especially my 'STEPS'... MCC, pls step more on my behalf yea... hehe....
