What is
'FORGIVENESS'?!?
This is the definition from 'Wikipedia'....Forgiveness is typically defined as the process of concluding
resentment,
indignation or
anger as a result of a perceived offense, difference or mistake, and/or ceasing to demand
punishment or
restitution.
How far would you go to forgive? OR how much can one forgive?
It's really pretty subjective as even I myself do not have the answer, though we're always taught to be forgiving since young especially that I'm brought up as a Christian. Of course, it is always good if one can be 100% forgiving no matter what happens.
Does forgiveness takes into consideration of the below items?
- size of matter
- cost of the mistakes
- relationships of the person we're forgiving
- physical impact
- mental impact
Does it make any difference if the person making the mistakes is your...
- parents
- siblings
- spouses
- boyfriend/girlfriend
- best friends
- friends
- colleagues
- bosses
- or totally stranger
OR does it hurt even more if they are closely related to you? I think it is always easier to forgive someone that is not related to you than those that mean so much to you....
There's always this 'COMMON' saying...
'No matter what happen, he/she is still your '
RELATIONSHIP*'...
* replace with the relationships abovee.g. No matter what happen, he/she is still your 'PARENTS'....BUT is it TRUE that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPEN, things WON'T CHANGE?
Would you forgive IF....
...your other half is having an affair with your bestfriend?
...your parents molested/raped you?
...your parents is having an affair?
...your spouse molested/raped your kid?
...you get infected by HIV virus due to your unfaithful partner?
...your wife aborted your kid without your consent and the reason is she is not ready yet?
...you got raped by your best friend?
...your sis/bro snatch your boyfriend/girlfriend?
...you lost your love ones due to some people's selfishness?
...your other half told you that they had sex transplant after years of marriage?
And they all tell you that they are very sorry and will not repeat the same mistakes again...
Will things ever be the SAME again?!? Even if you have decided to forgive and forget or do not forget at all... Can you really forgive totally and love each other 'unconditionally' again?!? I believe things would NEVER BE THE SAME anymore...
Once a mirror is BROKEN, no matter how you mend it back... there's gonna be cracks all over... and no matter how fine the lines of the crack, things will NEVER be the SAME again. It's like a DEEP cut that will leave SCARRING forever.
Well, it is always one's CHOICE to 'FORGIVE'....
Anyway, here's some QUOTES to share and ponder upon... = ))

Forgiveness does not always lead to a healed relationship. Some people are not capable of love, and it might be wise to let them go along with your anger. Wish them well, and let them go their way"...
