SHAPE RUN


I think I really have gone NUTS lately... going to the GYM so often, spending long hours in GYM and signing up RUNS... I just signed up another run today, which is the 10km Shape Run.

I'm running my 15km in June and this 10km would be in July. Hopefully I can make it for both... Hmm... a totally out of shape gal running for Shape Run... kekeke... BUT really got so tempted with the goodies bag. For SGD30, you will get a NIKE dri-fit shirt worth $40, sports bag, spa voucher, K-voucher, etc... Check it out yourself!

Must really train hard for the training if not later sure very 'sia-soi'.... :> STAMINA is very important and I got lousy stamina... maybe can try run at least 5-10km everytime at gym but most of the time I usually spend attending the classes, more interesting.
Wish myself lots of luck and I need lots of determination and perseverance. GAM-BA-TE!!!

Buffet Dinner at Orient Ocean, Miramar Hotel

Last night, we treated a friend to a Chinese Dishes dinner buffet at Orient Ocean.

The buffet consist of 50 Chinese dishes including 3 types of desserts.

There were only 3 of us and we ate about 20 dishes including desserts....
Steamed Fish, Shark Fin Soup, Steamed Crab, Boiled Live Prawns, Oatmeal Fried Prawns, Salad Prawns, Fried Prawns with Thousand Island, Chilled Tofu with Preserved Eggs, Mongolian Sauce Chicken, Coffee Spare Ribs, Soft Shell Crabs, Sweet Sour Pork, Fried Noodles, Fried Beehood, Fried French Beans, Paper Wrap Chicken, Fried Scallop with Yam, Mango Pudding, Herbal Jelly and Watermelon Sago.

The food were quite good. Another friend of mine recommended the dim sum buffet during the day time. Might try it out next time. After eating all those dishes, need to do a lot of workout to shed off those extra pounds. Haha...

Capoiera

Yesterday, I attended another class at the GYM -> Capoiera.

Thought of trying something new with my friend and we find it quite interesting but very tiring. The movement is swift and you need to move a lot.

CAPOIERA is a Brazilian blend of martial art, game and dance.

The instructor was really cool. She taught us some Capoiera basic movements such as 'Ginga', 'Au', 'Armada', etc.. a lot of kicking and spinning, even had to do cartwheel...

After the session, body is really aching especially today. Haha. But I would go for the class again when the instructor is back for hols after 1 month.

ZUMBA

ZUMBA (pronounced as 'zoomba') is a real cool workout class recently launched at my gym, California Fitness in Lion City.

I really LOVE it! ZUM-BA!! ^o^

Zumba is actually a fitness program inspored by Latin dance. It consists of combination of different dance routines such as cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco and calypso. It's really fun as you can dance and workout at the same time. = )

Gonna go try out more of the classes if time permits..hehe.. I think lately I really turned into a GYM freak, going to gym almost everyday. Last Sat, I think I spent more than 5 hours in the GYM going for 2 classes, doing some machines and weight.

Workout Craze

Lately, very motivated to exercise... dunno whether it's becoz of the 15km run or just some GYM craze lately...haha...

SAT -> Jog at East Coast Park in the evening
SUN -> Jon's Aerobics class at Gym -> usual must go class.. my fren's fav instructor...
MON -> Collin's Body Pump class at Gym before work -> make me ache so much...
TUES -> Suppose to go swimming but RAIN heavily.. = ( so end up study Jap
WED -> Avesha's Beach Body class at Gym before work -> still no have bikini body yet..haha..
THURS -> Dance class recap on Latin Ballroom Dances
FRI -> TBC - plan to go Warren's class at Gym
SAT -> New class -> ZUMBA - workout with dance moves combination
SUN -> Jon's Aerobics again...

* hmmm.. I wonder how long I can stay so motivated... hahha... but I do feel more fit and alive after all the exercise though I still procrastinate and fighting my mind to wake up early morning. I tried sleeping early at night but still end up sleeping late... guess it's just a habit that's hard to get rid off or I'm just not a morning person.. = ))

Blood Donation - Iron Deficiency?!?



Missed my practise this morning... was too tired and could not get up... *sigh...

Went to collect my medical report and everything was NORMAL and OK. Wanted to meet up with a friend for lunch but she was held up at work so I ended up eating alone.

I went walk walk around Chinatown and window-shopped here and there. There were SALES and I end up buying a few pair of sport bottom. Shopaholic couldn't resist it... keke... Well, at least I really do need them.

After walking for the whole afternoon, I ended up at the BLOOD bank coz I feel like donating blood. I went for a couple times but always end up not donating, either the place is not open, long Q due to a lot of nurses on MC, etc... Today ain't the right day too... Iron Deficiency... = ((

After all the registration, questionnaires, doctor's interview.... blood test shows that my iron is low... doctor assured that I'm healthy... just that I have enough blood for myself but not for donation. He gave me some iron tablets and a list of recommended food to boost up my iron. He told me that I can come again after 3 weeks or 1 month if I really want to donate.
Guess I just need to try again 1 month later....

Passion Run 2008 in SG

I can't believe it...


I actually signed up for a 15km run after my friend talked me into it. Hahaha.. I still remember the one and only walk I signed for few years back, which is 7km walk. I went for the walk without doing any exercise... After the 7km walk, my legs just wobble...

I think I better do some training for this Run else I don't think I'm gonna make it to the finishing line... Don't wanna faint halfway... else dunno where to hide after that. This is like a big challenge for me... My friend asked whether I want to join the 45km cycling in May for warm up. Must be crazy... this 15km gonna be in June and warm up with 45km cycling in May?!? haha..
Anyway, this Sat will be joining the Running Clinic... good for practise but would hav to wake up at 6am++ on a Sat to reach there before 730am.
